Overseas Pakistanis have filed a petition against Election Commission in Lahore High Court. The next hearing is on 15-Dec-2021.
Close to a thousand of you signed the petition against BBC for insinuating Pakistan’s first lady is a witch. We heard back from one of the UK MPs. He states BBC needs to be careful with their freedom of expression. Details are given below.
Election Commission(ECP) taken to Court
ECP discriminates against Overseas Voters every step of the voting process. Every step of the way, literally! This two-minute video covers the issue well.
On those grounds, the legal petition asks the court to strike down the discriminating rules against Overseas Pakistanis.

Petition against BBC
After signing the petition, One resident of the UK, Arsalan Baloch, pursued his local MP. The question? Why did BBC World let its tax-funded platform be used for slander against women, in this case, the First Lady of Pakistan? Here is the reply he got.
It is interesting to note; the original petition did not mention any author’s name. Was that discovered in a conversation between the MP Tony Lloyd and BBC? Arsalan, however, doesn’t seem satisfied with the response. He was planning to meet the MP to explain how this was character assassination.
