How can we participate in Elections?

ہم الیکشن میں کیسے حصہ لے سکتے ہیں؟

Salam,

As you might know we have been putting up legal fights for Overseas Pakistani Voting rights for some time now. Unfortunately, our cases have been put on hold in the courts.

However, we can still participate in the democratic process in Pakistan.

1. Ensure you contact at least three people who usually don’t vote and convince them to vote.

2. Contact as many friends and family as possible and encourage them to vote.

   1. They can check their Constituencies by sending their CNIC to 8300

      1. In response they would get information about their constituencies, and polling station. They should note down all information on a piece of paper. It would be required to vote along with their original CNIC

   2. Once they have their constituencies, they should know the symbol of their parties to vote. For all major parties, this is largely known except for PTI. For PTI voters, urge them to go to Imran Khan’s Facebook page and send him their Constituency numbers. The IK Bot would respond with the candidate, their symbol etc.

3. Facilitate removal of any blockers to vote e.g., no transportation or access to internet to get information

4. Keep following up till you get confirmation that the vote has been cast.

5. For the ones that can, they should come back at the time of poll closing and stay there till the results are announced and form 45 (polling station result) is collected. Then peacefully follow the presiding officer to the RO's office, ensuring their safe arrival there.
