I urge you to protect Overseas Pakistanis voting rights in the Election Amendment Bill 2021.
Current Election Rules and Practices are brutally oppressive for Overseas Pakistanis.

Pakistan is a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union(IPU). Current Election Rules and practices are blatantly against the “Declaration on Criteria for Free and Fair Elections”, specifically, Section 2(2), 2(3) and 2(5). You can find the declaration at this link https://tinyurl.com/IPUFair
During your bill review, I urge you to legislate the following so Overseas Pakistanis have a fair chance to vote:
🖊️ Define free and fair elections, as it is missing in the Elections Act 2017. Senate may adopt “Declaration on Criteria for Free and Fair Elections” by IPU https://tinyurl.com/IPUFair
🖊️ Clarify that either NIC or NICOP is a requirement for Overseas Pakistani to register and vote. Notwithstanding the expiry of its validity period.
📝 Mandate facilitates that allow Overseas Pakistani to register and check voter registration online throughout the year. Resident Pakistanis have similar facilities around the year.
🖊️ Apply the same standards of polling stations per population locally as well as overseas. Alternately cater for a two-week voting window. This allows overseas Pakistanis to cast their votes in different time zones and working days.
🖊️ Special rules to allow Overseas Pakistanis to move their votes online and adopt address of their extended family in Pakistan. Bio-metric verification may be waived for Overseas Pakistanis as suggested in the current Bill.
🖊️ Allow Overseas Pakistanis with limited digital literacy /internet access to come and vote online in Pakistani Embassies in other countries commencing two weeks before voting in Pakistan.
🖊️Provide guidelines on the type of security mechanisms to be used. e.g., Using a passport as a security measure creates more issues than it solves (also rightly pointed out in ECP’s report). The following are some suggestions:
🖊️Avoid using security measures exclusively available through extensive interaction with government machinery such as Machine Readable Passport.
🖊️Encourage technology-oriented security solutions that are more accessible, such as:
➡️one-time passwords sent as SMS (ECP’s recommendation),
➡️use of voice or facial recognition technologies to verify individuals.
Few families from North America are not happy with this link as their applications are pending since 8/10 months to answer or get the needed documents?
Dear team member, I travelled in 2019 end to Karachi where a PIA steward Cheema was very rude to the two senior citizen ladies including me. One lady said I will complain for you on PM portal. Cheema offered his cell phone loudly said "Lein Dalein complain abhee""" After reaching home I complained for Cheema with flight number, date but nothing till today.
I and husband stranded in Karachi after COVID though the return in 2020
a horrific nightmare PIA have sent their relatives/friends on our booked confirmed return seat, We I received a call midnight "Flight has been cancelled". Next day we rushed to SIDCO PIA centre where the customer service said NO flight cancelled you missed? Our scheduled flight was the last then the airspace blocked. We bought one way (2 tickets) in 7 lakhs 50 thousands Pak rupees. I complained but not answered???
Doesn't sound like a very good experience unfortunately, but there are great stories about Citizen Portal out there as well. NADRA also has a complaint mechanism on their site. With the new chairman, expecting things to approve
I make duas the efforts of Imran Khan for Naya Pakistan meets the expectations of honest Pakistani's frustrated of judiciary, and civil mafias of last 50 years. But in real my experience with portal for PIA and CDA Islamabad where the Clarks were taking money under the framed Ayaat of Bayimani, not met any outcome

You can raise a complaint on PMs citizen portal, there is a section about making complaints to NADRA
